Cargo is any property carried, including articles, pallets, containers or similar transport and packaging devices, not provided by the carrier or the freight forwarder.
From the moment the goods are transferred for freight, they become Cargo.
There are four features in the grouping of goods for their classification:
- Classification of goods by method of loading and unloading:
1) Piece;
2) Dry;
3) Bulk.
- Classification of goods according to the degree of use of load capacity:
1) Oversized;
2) Heavy.
- Classification of goods under the conditions of transportation and storage:
1) Dangerous;
2) Perishable;
3) Unsanitary;
4) Living.
